Henrik Vibskov Spring/Summer 2013 at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Have you ever seen an enormous, bouncy pink tongue with polka dots?

Copenhagen Fashion Week has been nothing short of inspiring fashion, impressive designs and promising talent. But every now and again, there are designers that add a punch of conceptual art and unique performances to throw off anything too normal.

Last Wednesday we gathered in the courtyard of Denmark’s Fine Art school to enjoy Henrik Vibskov’s installation of a transparent tongue. And there we were, watching masked performers blow up an over-sized, pink tongue, sprinkled with polka dots (resembling gigantic taste buds). As they are trying to hold in place the wobbly, inflated 'tongue', models wearing chairs like bags on their backs, appeared on the runway to circle around the bouncy bizarreness. With knitted hats, fun suits and jackets that used circle cut-out's mirroring the tongue's polka dot motif, Danish designer Henrik Vibskov created a playful and visually stimulating collection.
