About this event
DePaul University music and anthropology students are working throughout fall quarter to document members of the Chicago Immigrant Orchestra’s pathways to Chicago to cultivate a better understanding of immigrant communities' contributions to the musical life in the city. Students will collaborate with the ensemble, led by Fareed Haque and Wanees Zarour (MM Jazz Studies '21), to curate a concert that tells musicians’ stories. This project is made possible by HumanitiesX, DePaul University's Experiential Humanities Collaborative. For more information on the Chicago Immigrant Orchestra, visit their website here. Admission: This concert is free and open to the general public. Advance registration required.
