1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Local Spotter LLC ("LocalSpotter," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains information when you use LocalSpotter, LocalSpotter.com, and related websites, applications, accounts, business pages, Business Tools, communications, and services (collectively, the "Service").

The Terms of Use and, where applicable, the Business Account, Claim, and Listing Terms govern contractual use of the Service.

2. Information We Collect

### Information you provide

We may collect account and authentication information; name, email address, telephone number, profile details, and communication preferences; communications, support requests, feedback, and correction or removal requests; business claims, representative or authority information, and business contact details; content such as reviews, comments, photographs, logos, descriptions, deals, specials, corrections, and associated submission metadata; and billing or transaction information when paid Pilots or paid services are offered.

### Preview, claim, Pilot, payment, and acceptance information

We may collect or maintain identifiers, Offer Summary and plan details, status information, access and redemption events, expiration and revocation information, account-verification information, claim-access records, Pilot details, payment status, conversion or renewal status, publication status, administrative history, and related security records.

We may retain records showing how and when legal and commercial terms were presented and accepted, such as document versions, Offer Summary details, acceptance time, account and business identifiers, the acceptance flow, and limited device, browser, or network information used for security, fraud prevention, or contract evidence.

### Information collected automatically

We may collect device and browser information, IP address, IP-derived approximate location, user agent, pages viewed, links clicked, searches, interactions, account activity, preferences, cookies or local-storage identifiers, logs, errors, analytics information, and security or abuse signals.

3. Sources of Information

We may collect information directly from you; from business owners, representatives, users, and administrators; from public websites, public records, and public business pages; from hosting, database, authentication, email, security, analytics, support, and payment service providers; and from your browser, device, account, or interactions with the Service. We may combine information from these sources where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

4. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

-Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

-Create and manage accounts and verify email addresses, identity, or authority.

-Prepare non-public Previews, administer claim invitations, manage Business Page access, and operate free or paid Pilots.

-Publish, maintain, organize, rank, personalize, moderate, correct, and improve business listings and local information.

-Process claims, claim or authority disputes, corrections, removal requests, support requests, and complaints.

-Communicate about accounts, security, Previews, invitations, Pilots, payments, conversion, renewal, cancellation, publication, support, transactions, and policy changes.

-Process separately authorized payments, refunds, billing inquiries, and chargebacks.

-Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, spam, security incidents, and policy violations.

-Maintain contract, audit, accounting, tax, legal, transaction, and dispute records.

-Analyze use, performance, popularity, and feature effectiveness.

-Comply with law, enforce agreements, protect rights and safety, and support a business transaction involving LocalSpotter.

We may create and use aggregated or deidentified information for lawful purposes such as analytics, research, reporting, product development, and business planning. Where required by law, we will maintain deidentified information in deidentified form and will not attempt to reidentify it except as legally permitted.

5. Business Information and Public Content

LocalSpotter may collect, display, analyze, index, correct, archive, update, remove, and use business names, addresses, websites, telephone numbers, ordinary hours, public services, publicly announced specials or deals, descriptions, categories, social links, source links, claim status, and similar business-related information.

Some business information may come from public websites, public records, business representatives, users, service providers, or other lawful sources. Claiming a Business Page does not necessarily make all business information private or require removal of public-source information.

Information submitted or approved for public display may be visible to others, indexed by search engines, copied, shared, cached, or archived. Do not submit confidential, financial, sensitive personal, or other restricted information for public display or through a Preview.

6. Cookies, Analytics, Location, and Browser Signals

We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, log files, and similar technologies to maintain sessions and security, remember preferences, prevent abuse, detect errors, understand use, and improve performance. You can control many cookies through browser settings, but blocking necessary cookies may prevent accounts or features from working.

We may infer an approximate location from an IP address, selected city, or similar signals to provide local content. We do not collect precise device location unless a feature requests it and you grant the required device or browser permission.

Browser "Do Not Track" signals are not governed by a uniform industry standard. LocalSpotter does not currently respond differently to those signals. Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid universal opt-out preference signal, LocalSpotter will process it as required.

Analytics, security, authentication, content-delivery, embedded-service, and similar providers may collect information through their technologies in connection with the Service. Their processing is governed by their own policies and our applicable agreements with them.

If LocalSpotter materially changes its use of analytics, advertising, retargeting, or similar technologies, we will update this Policy and provide notices or choices required by applicable law.

7. Communications

We may send operational communications reasonably necessary to provide or administer an account, Preview, invitation, verification, business claim, Pilot, payment, conversion, renewal, cancellation, security event, expiration, extension, publication decision, support request, transaction, or legal notice.

Operational communications are separate from optional marketing. You may opt out of marketing email through the method provided in the message, but you may continue to receive operational communications while an account or service relationship remains active.

8. How We Share Information

We may disclose information to service providers that help operate the Service, including providers of hosting, databases, storage, authentication, email delivery, security, logging, analytics, customer support, content moderation, infrastructure, payment processing, and professional services. Service providers may process information for the purposes for which they were engaged, subject to applicable agreements and legal requirements.

We may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent; to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, claim disputes, payment disputes, or policy violations; to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of LocalSpotter, users, businesses, or others; to comply with law, legal process, or a valid governmental request; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of LocalSpotter or the Service.

9. Pilots and Payments

A Preview does not require payment. A Pilot may be free or paid as stated in the applicable Offer Summary. A free Pilot does not authorize a charge unless an authorized person separately and affirmatively accepts clearly disclosed future paid-conversion terms. A paid Pilot or paid service authorizes only the charges stated in the accepted Offer Summary or other applicable paid terms.

Payments may be processed by a third-party payment processor. When payment-card information is submitted directly to the processor, LocalSpotter does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. LocalSpotter may receive billing contact information, plan or Offer Summary information, payment status, transaction identifiers, card type and partial card details, renewal or conversion status, refund information, and chargeback information. The processor's privacy policy applies to information it processes independently.

10. Sale and Targeted Advertising

As of the Effective Date, LocalSpotter does not receive money in exchange for personal information and does not use personal information to serve advertising based on activity across unaffiliated websites or services. If LocalSpotter begins engaging in processing treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law, we will update this Policy and provide legally required notices and opt-out methods.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, loss, destruction, alteration, use, or disclosure. The safeguards used depend on the nature of the information, available technology, operational context, and risk.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting account credentials and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

12. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating accounts and Business Pages, maintaining public business information, documenting contracts and authority, administering Pilots and paid services, completing transactions, complying with law, preventing fraud or abuse, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and maintaining security and audit integrity.

Account and Business Page information may be retained while active and for a reasonable period afterward. Acceptance, Offer Summary, claim-management, payment, security, legal, transaction, and dispute records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary. Deleted or changed information may remain temporarily in backups until ordinary backup cycles complete.

We may retain aggregated or properly deidentified information that cannot reasonably be linked to an identified or identifiable person.

13. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You may contact [email protected] to request assistance with account information, access, correction, deletion, a copy of certain information, or other privacy concerns. We may need information reasonably necessary to verify identity, residency, authority, and the scope of a request.

Depending on where you live, the nature of the information, and whether applicable legal thresholds are met, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or opt out of certain processing of personal information, and may have a right to appeal a denial or use an authorized agent. We will evaluate requests under the laws that apply at the time and will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

A deletion request may not require deletion of public-source business information, contract evidence, legal acceptances, Offer Summary and payment records, claim-management history, fraud-prevention records, security logs, dispute records, transaction, tax, or accounting records, or other information reasonably needed for legal, security, operational, backup, or recordkeeping purposes.

14. Children and Minors

Public informational portions of the Service may be viewable without an account. Accounts, Business Tools, content submissions, and other interactive features are intended only for persons at least 18 years old.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and LocalSpotter does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact [email protected] so we can review and take appropriate action.

15. Business Transfers

If LocalSpotter evaluates or completes a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale, assignment, or transfer of all or part of the Service or business, information may be disclosed, reviewed, or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections where required.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy by publishing a new version and effective date. We may provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we handle personal information or when required by law. We will not apply a material change retroactively where applicable law requires notice or consent. A Privacy Policy update does not by itself authorize a charge, alter an accepted Pilot price or conversion term, or convert a free Pilot into a paid service.

17. Contact

Privacy questions and requests may be sent to [email protected]. Account, Pilot, billing, and support questions may be sent to [email protected].
